Universal design, or the process of designing products, buildings and environments so that they are accessible to all users, is currently less the individual choice of a designer or architect, and more one of necessity and requirement. Experts invited to the meeting talked about the premises of a truly inclusive design project, with a special focus on marginalised groups. The event's keynote speaker was Iain McKinnon from the Global Disability Innovation Hub in London.
