The slogan of this year's festival is “SHORT STORIES”. “It refers not only to the area of films presented in the Main Competition,” says Marcin Adamczak, the festival director. “Each of them is an extremely intense experience and the opportunity to commune with a finite. Imagination-stimulating, they allow to immerse oneself in the world enchanted short film creators. The expressive worlds created in subsequent films allow you to look at reality through the eyes of their authors. They give an opportunity to experience many individual stories and look at the reality through the prism of different sensitivities. Films at CINEMAFORUM 2018 are “SHORT STORIES” that start again and again.”
As a part of CINEMAFORUM, the INTERFILMLAB programme (version 2.0) will be held, its aim being to educate young creators in the field of export potential of Polish cinematography in the international non-festival cycle. There will be an international film education programme for young filmmakers from Poland, France, and Italy. Traditionally, you will also be able to see productions nominated for the Jan Machulski Polish Independent Cinema Award.
