Three contemporary Polish Jazz groups, hishii, Joanna Duda Trio and EABS will perform at the legendary London Jazz venue Ronnie Scott's between May – October.
hoshii (which means 'to desire' in Japanese) is the latest project of the acclaimed saxophonist and producer Kuba Więcek, returning to the jazz scene with new ideas gathered over recent years while collaborating with various artists from the hip-hop and the alternative music scene.
Joanna Duda founded the Trio in 2017, with the idea that the sound would become the ensemble’s hallmark and its defining quality. She treats the jazz trio format as one of many conventions she explores alongside Maksymilian Mucha (double bass) and Michał Bryndal (drums). All the band members also incorporate electronic elements – effects, samplers, and sequencers.
EABS have been working on the concept of "reconstruction from deconstruction" since 2012, often redefining the classics and mixing them with the latest genres of contemporary urban music, creating a completely new quality and original sound.
