The Belfast Photo Festival will showcase the exhibition “Metamorfoza,” bringing together the works of Polish artists Diana Lelonek, Anna Zagrodzka, Karol Szymkowiak, and Adam & Dyba Lach. This collaborative project, supported by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, will feature exhibitions, events, screenings, and public engagement across prominent Belfast locations.
The exhibition delves into the rapid ecological and societal changes within Poland, inviting audiences to explore creative responses and experiments. The diverse works will be complemented by a photobook library curated by Fotofestiwal from Łódź.
During the festival, all four artists will visit Northern Ireland, hosting public events and discussions to foster dialogue and reflection on the issues raised by their works. These interactions aim to deepen understanding and encourage discourse on Polish ecology and society in the context of contemporary challenges. The event seeks to catalyse meaningful exchange between artists and the public, highlighting the transformative forces shaping Poland today. The exhibition will be a dynamic platform for creative exploration, dialogue, and cross-cultural engagement.
