The 'Kinoteka' Polish Film Festival has been promoting Polish cinema in London since 2003, organized by the Polish Institute in London and the British Film Institute. For the Polish-British season, the Adam Mickiewicz Institute has partnered with the festival organizers to co-organize the 'Kinoteka on Tour' project — a series of Polish film screenings in art-house cinemas across the United Kingdom. The festival program features new films from 2024, including 'Under the Volcano' by Damian Kocur, 'The Silent Trees' by Agnieszka Zwiefka, 'Under the Grey Sky' by Katsiaryna Mara Tamkovich, and 'This Is Not My Film' by Maria Zbąska, as well as two classics by Wojciech Jerzy Has in celebration of the director's 100th birthday: 'Farewells' (1958) and 'The Saragossa Manuscript' (1964). As part of 'Kinoteka on Tour', 31 screenings of 6 films will take place in 7 cinemas: Hull Independent Cinema (Hull), Ultimate Picture Palace (Oxford), Tyneside (Newcastle), Broadway (Nottingham), Showroom (Sheffield), Mockingbird (Birmingham), Hyde Park Picture House (Leeds).
