CENTRES (Creative Entrepreneurship in Schools) was a multi-country project co-funded by the European Commission, British Council and eight organisations across Europe.
The project has been delivered in Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Lithuania, Finland, Poland, Slovenia and the UK.
The purpose of the CENTRES network was to create the first European multi-sectoral forum for issues relating to entrepreneurship education specific to the creative industries and for sharing innovation and best practice in this area.
Through a diverse mix of programme activities such as pilots in schools, international conferences, dissemination events, publications or policy workshops, the CENTRES consortium has:
- produced an online knowledge bank of materials, models, tools, methodologies and guidelines that can be used by teachers and organisations working with this type of skills development in schools;
- developed a Europe-wide online community of interest centred on the knowledge bank;
- prepared recommendations to policy-makers on ways to mainstream innovative practices in entrepreneurship education.
