What is Future Leaders Connect?

Future Leaders Connect aims to provide relevant skills, international networks and opportunities to young leaders which will support them to make a difference through policy change. More effective positive policy change will lead to enhanced welfare in the countries we work in and contribute to global development.

Poland is the only representative from EU in this year’s edition.

In order to apply you must meet the following criteria.

• Aged between 25 and 35 (at the start of the programme)

• Able to speak and understand English (no official qualification is required, but you must be able to speak English to IELTS level 7 or equivalent).

This is how our leaders from 2019 edition describe their experience with Future Leaders Connect:

Jan Zygmuntowski:

"My reason for applying was to amp up my policymaking skills, as until the program I have been learning it on the go by advocacy efforts. What I found surprising was how the 50 participants from all over the world shared not only their know-how and unique angle, coming from such a variety of places, sectors and demographies, but their emotions as well. We bonded as comrades in our journeys very fast, with great tutoring from Richard Hill along the way. The final days in the UK Parliament were more of a prize then a challenge after such a trip."

 Antonina Lewandowska:

"Future Leaders Connect is an amazing program that gives you access to places that would be otherwise unreachable (at least at this moment of your life) and creates opportunities for further development. I see it as means of providing young leaders with a set of tools, guidelines and maps that the participants can use in order to decide which way will they go. And for that I am truly grateful to everyone behind the project for that – they understand that leading has to come from within oneself, rather than following in the footsteps of others. Future Leaders Connect has it all: teamwork, bonding, self-evaluation, growth and - maybe even most of all – inspiration."
