WE WILL ROCK YOU is a British musical with songs by the legendary group QUEEN and a libretto by Ben Elton. The action of the performance takes place in the globalized world of the future. All aspects of life on iPlanet, which was formerly known as Earth, are governed by one powerful corporation. Possession of musical instruments is prohibited, as music is an expression of absolutely undesirable individualism. A few rebels who secretly cultivate the memory of the past do not want to accept such a grim existence and take up the fight for freedom, love and ROCKA! The musical WE WILL ROCK YOU was first presented in London's West End in 2002 and played there continuously for 12 years. It also went to many countries around the world - it was shown in Australia, Austria, Brazil, Belgium, France, Spain, Japan, Canada, Germany, Norway, South Africa, Switzerland, Sweden, the USA, Hungary and Italy. The timeless hits of the QUEEN group, known to all, and the dynamic and humorous plot always evoke incredible enthusiasm of the audience, who at the end of the performance - as if it were some kind of magic - invariably start singing together with the performers. The musical then turns into a crazy rock concert, and its patron is the unique Freddie Mercury. WE WILL ROCK YOU is a fantastic opportunity to hear QUEEN's songs in an unknown context, discover new meanings and electrifying, thrilling and energetic sounds, e.g. such hits as "I Want To Break Free", "Radio Ga Ga", "I Want It All", "We Are The Champions", "Bohemian Rhapsody" or the title number "We Will Rock You". The Warsaw Musical Theater ROMA will present WE WILL ROCK YOU in an original non-replica staging directed by Wojciech Kępczyński. Michał Wojnarowski is the author of the Polish translation of the libretto and song lyrics, and Jakub Lubowicz is the musical director of the performance.

British Council is the patron of this event.
