Wikipedia for the Brave – help us write the Polish-British story of women human rights defenders!

Women's biographies constitute merely 30% of Wikipedia articles in English and 15% of articles in Polish. To change this, we have joined forces with Wikipedia, Amnesty International Poland and British Embassy in Warsaw. Together, we invite you to take part in a special marathon, during which we will write Wikipedia articles about Polish and British women human rights defenders: Chrisann Jarrett, Klementyna Suchanow, Diana Nammi, Sylwia Spurek, Zrinka Bralo and many more!

What do you get from participating?

During the workshop you will learn how to write Wikipedia articles and become a Wikipedia contributor. You will also contribute to the global knowledge base and help telling the important stories of these heroines.

How to participate?

Registration for the event is open until 17 May, 13.00. For logistic reasons the number of participants is limited to 20 and you must register here in order to participate – sign up as "attending" on Facebook is not enough. Once registered, please bring with you a laptop and an ID.
