Future leaders of the electronic music sector this opportunity is for you!

Join the British Council #WeAreEquals Music Academy Barcelona in partnership with MUTEK Festival and SAE Institute and receive exclusive training from prestigious British professionals and mentors by Brighter Sound. The best candidates will be offered the opportunity to perform live during the 13th edition of MUTEK Barcelona online or in Barcelona.

The #WeAreEquals - Music Academy is a training programme for rising talents and future leaders of the electronic music sector, aimed at providing them with tools to help them develop and expand their careers. We are particularly interested in identifying artists, producers and professionals who are already influential ambassadors in the music sector and are therefore able to push the agenda on gender equality and social diversity.

This fifth edition of the #WeAreEquals – Music Academy looks for rising artists, Djs and producers based in Greece, Ireland, Poland, Spain and the United Kingdom and it will take place in Barcelona and online on 3-4 February 2022.

In previous editions, the "Equalers" received precious insights from outstanding artists such as Afrodeutsche, Carly Wilford, Jamz Supernova, Jay Stynes (former Gorillaz' agent and coordinator of the Music Management Forum UK), LNA and many more with the support of professionals from the industry (Live Nation, Apple Music, Warner Music, La Noche en Vivo, MIM, shesaid.so...).

Deadline: 27th January at 23.59 CEST

If your application is successful, the British Council will cover the cost of your training (estimated in 400€). We'll inform you on 29th January if you've been selected.
