On 22-29 October Zagłębiowska Mediateka will host the first edition of the Space of Word Festival. The focus of the first two days will be the legendary Scottish novelist, playwright and short story writer Irvine Welsh, the author of the acclaimed novels „Trainspotting” and „Porno”. The festival will open with the screening of „Trainspotting” directed by Danny Boyle, which will mark the 25th anniversary of the premiere of this Oscar-nominated film masterpiece. Irvine Welsh, who is also co-author of the screenplay, will be a special guest of a conversation moderated by Renata Senktas before the screening. Another meeting with Irvine Welsh will take place on the following day, hosted by Jerzy Jarniewicz.
