On March 19, the 11th edition of Short Waves Festival will start in Poznan.
Once again, the capital of Greater Poland Voivodeship will be filled with short films from around the world. Every year, 6 festival days include more than 60 events, 300 films and about 7,000 lovers of short film forms participating in the shows. This year's edition has 4 film contests, the focus program devoted to the cinematography of Southeast Asia, as well as a new Live Cinema section, offering events that go beyond the standard cinema experience. As every year, there will be British accents in the program - as part of the industry program there will be a panel devoted to new curatorial practices in the field of film with the participation of Matt Carter from the LUX Art Centre, the night of British videoclips from the London Short Film Festival, and a meeting with the artist and choreographer Lucy Cash, who specializes in a dance film.
British Council is Short Waves Festival's Partner.
