The year 2017 marks the 85th anniversary of the birth of Ryszard Kapuściński, a reporter and writer, who made journalism into a form of literary art. His books have been translated into as many as 39 languages. There are English translations available of his most important books: The Emperor (“Cesarz”), Shah of Shahs ("Szachinszach"), Another Day of Life ("Jeszcze dzień życia"), The Soccer War ("Wojna futbolowa"), Imperium, The Shadow of the Sun ("Heban"), Travels with Herodotus ("Podróże z Herodotem"), The Other ("Ten Inny") as well as poems (I Wrote Stone and Collected Poems).
