The event is addressed to high school, technical school, vocational school and university teachers, as well as those teaching at language schools and independently.

About the presenters

Piotr Pluskota

Piotr Pluskota

Piotr Pluskota is a graduate of the University of Warsaw and an English teacher with 15 years of experience in teaching various age groups, levels and types of courses. Piotr cooperates with Cambridge University Press and Assessment, where he acts as a supervisor specialising in written exams and he works as a trainer, who regularly cooperates with the British Council giving presentations and trainings.

Barbara Szybowska

Barbara Szybowska

Barbara Szybowska – a graduate of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow; an experienced teacher and teacher trainer. She teaches nearly all age groups, levels and course types as she loves new challenges and is always eager to share her experience. Her professional focus is on motivating learners, especially the young ones and raising their interest in the language. Moreover, she specialises in preparing students for Cambridge English exams. Her lifelong passions are climbing and travelling.

 

Victoria Peña

Victoria Peña

Victoria Peña taught English to preschool, primary and secondary school students for ten years, was part of the examiner team at the University of Jaén, as well as preparing learners for Cambridge examinations. Since joining Cambridge Assessment English in September 2018, she has been involved in teacher training and has collaborated in different government bilingual projects. She holds a degree in Translation and Interpreting and an MA in Applied Linguistics and is a fifth-year PhD student. 

George Heritage

George Heritage

George started working at Cambridge Assessment English in 2013 after over 10 years’ experience teaching general and exam-specific English to students of all ages and levels. He worked in the Assessment department for 3 years on a variety of tests and exams and the Young Learners revision project. He moved to the Assessment Services department in 2016, where he has worked on various assessment projects with regional bilingual programmes, and has designed and delivered teacher training programmes.
