The famous Philharmonia Orchestra will perform at the National Forum of Music. The orchestra, whose beginnings date back to 1945, will be led by its Principal Conductor, who also acts Artistic Advisor – Esa-Pekka Salonen. The performance of this British ensemble features two famous symphonic pieces that are fixtures in concert programmes: Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 2 and Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 1vin D major ‘Titan’.
The Philharmonia Orchestra has created thanks to the initiative of EMI producer, Walter Legge. Over the years, the ensemble has gone from strength to strength on the international music scene. The orchestra has collaborated with the most important artists of the 20th and 21st centuries.
The concert is part of the 80th Anniversary of British Council in Poland.
