British Council and Multikino present special screenings of National Theatre Live’s Frankenstein, directed by Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire, Steve Jobs). The acclaimed British director makes a comeback to the theatre after 20 years in the film industry. In March 2011, Danny Boyle presented his own version of Frankenstein to the West End theatre audiences. A novel by Mary Shelley was adapted for the stage by Nick Dear. The production was a sell-out hit at the National Theatre in 2011, and the broadcast has since become an international sensation, experienced by over half a million people in cinemas around the world.
For the very first time Multikino will present both versions of the play.
