The 6th edition of the Music on the Heights International Chamber Music Festival
This year's edition of the Music on the Heights Festival commemorates the 100th anniversary of the birth of Andrzej Panufnik. The festival program includes works by the great Polish composer who won international acclaim and recognition living and composing in England, as well as music by prominent composers from Great Britain, France and Germany.
The festival’s inauguration ceremony includes the Polish premiere of Memories of my Father by Roxanna Panufnik, Andrzej Panufnik’s daughter, performed by The Brodsky Quartet. The piece was commissioned by the quartet and the Mieczysław Karłowicz Association. The premiere will be held on 13 September in the Church of the Holy Cross in Zakopane, with Roxanna Panufnik present in the audience.
