Krakow Film Festival focuses on documentary and short cinema.  At the core of the festival there are 4 competitions, and 10 non-competitive thematic series complete the programme. Among them, one of the most important ones is the section "Focus on..." which is dedicated to a selected national cinematography every year.

In 2014, Great Britain is the special guest. The retrospective of British films will be opened by the excellent documentary by Julien Temple "London - the Modern Babylon" (United Kingdom 2012, 125'). Julien Temple, who will visit Cracow to meet the audience, is a documentary filmmaker, the author of iconic music videos, the chronicler of London's punk scene. His latest film is an attempt to include in a 2-hour nutshell the entire immensity of social and historical conditions, thanks to which London is one of the most important places on the cultural map of the world.

In the British programme we will also see the famous documentary films of recent years, the presentation of the films by the students of National Film and Television School, as well as short films for children and teenagers (admission free): KIDS&FEST.

British Council is the partner of the section "Focus on Great Britain."
