As part of the British theatre on big screen series, Multikino and British Council are presenting a theatre screening of William Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale, recorded at the Garrick Theatre in London. This will be the first in the new series of productions by the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company.
Shakespeareʼs timeless tragicomedy of obsession and redemption is reimagined in a new production co-directed by Rob Ashford and Kenneth Branagh, following their triumphant staging of Macbeth in Manchester and Manhattan. Judi Dench will play Paulina, Kenneth Branagh will play Leontes.
The screening will take place on 25 February at 19:00 in 16 Multikino cinemas: Bydgoszcz, Gdańsk, Gdynia, Katowice, Kraków, Lublin, Łódź (Silver Screen), Olsztyn, Poznań Stary Browar, Radom, Rzeszów, Szczecin, Warszawa Ursynów, Warszawa Złote Tarasy, Wrocław Arkady oraz Zabrze.
