British Council and Multikino present the encore screening of Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company’s Romeo and Juliet, from Garrick Theatre in London.
Famous heartbreaking tale of forbidden love has been produced by an expert in William Shakespeare’s work: Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company. Directed by Rob Ashford and Kenneth Branagh himself, starring Richard Madden, famous for the Game of Thrones and Lilly James, a star of Downton Abbey – the classic play was given a modern twist. The young actors have previously met on the film set of well-reviewed Cinderella. In a surprising role, cast as Mercutio, we will also see the masterful Derek Jacobi.
In selected Multikino cinemas, the viewers will have a chance to see two screenings of this emotional drama telling the story of two feuding clans and young representatives of the hostile families, madly in love with each other.
The play was registered with the audience’s participation, in HD and DD Surround quality.
The screenings will take place on 16 February at 19.00 in the following Multikino cinemas: Bydgoszcz, Gdańsk, Gdynia, Katowice, Kraków, Lublin, Łódź (Silver Screen), Olsztyn, Poznań Stary Browar, Szczecin, Warszawa Targówek, Warszawa Ursynów, Warszawa Złote Tarasy, Wrocław Arkady and Zabrze.
Screenings are in English with Polish subtitles.
