Creative Mikser is a series of networking meetings addressed to Warsaw’s creative community, organised by the British Council and the city of Warsaw, this time in cooperation with Warsaw Gallery Weekend. The meetings include presentations, discussions and a networking platform to meet interesting people and broker new business contacts. Organised in venues with a ‘creative vibe’, they are an important and innovative initiative aimed at integrating the community of creative entrepreneurs in Warsaw.

Experts from Poland and the UK will discuss the topic of galleries as a cultural phenomenon and look at the new ways of organising and making use of galleries as physical and cyber spaces. How do these spaces enter into dialogue with their users? how do we – gallery owners, animators and users respond to these changes?

Thanks to cooperation with Grupa Warszawa (promotors of multiple Warsaw venues, incl. Warszawa Powiśle, Syreni Śpiew, Zorza Bistro), the 16th edition of Creative Mikser will take place in a special location – Szarotka. This beautiful, brick building is the former secret radio and television factory located in the picturesque Mokotów Fort.

Panel discussion guests:

Ernesto Leal, Red Gallery (Londyn)

Marika Kuźmicz, Fundacja Arton

Paulina Olszewska, independent curator and manager (Berlin)

Marika Zamojska, Polana Institute

Justyna Wesołowska, Polana Institute

The meeting will be hosted by Ewa Ayton (Head Arts & Culture, British Council) and Michał Olszewski (Deputy Mayor of Warsaw)

The languages of the meeting are Polish and English. Participation in the event is free of charge on earlier registration at: kreatywnawarszawa@um.warszawa.pl
