We invite you to a very original show which challenges stereotypes about perceiving Deaf people and people with hearing impairments. It will be performed during the 3rd International Open the Door festival organised by Teatr Śląski. To a large extent it is a performance based on a personal story of a man who just became a father, is a teacher, an avid football fun, an artist and is Deaf. „Louder Is Not Always Clearer” is about his need to integrate and function in the society on equal terms with people who can hear. For the audience who can hear, the show is an honest monodrama of a Deaf person, for people with hearing impairments it is a well-known story about misunderstandings between two worlds. Above all, it is a performance about acceptance and need for mutual respect, full of good humour and warmth.
