The 23rd International IATEFL Poland Conference Innovation and Modernity in foreign Language Teaching will be held on the 12-14 September 2014, at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin. The aim of the conference is to familiarise participants with the latest developments in the field of foreign language teaching methodology, the use of psychology and recent innovations in computer technology.
The deadline for registrations for the conference is 1 September 2014.

Richard Cowen Academic Teaching Skills – English as the Medium of Instruction, Saturday, 13 September, 12:50, Lecture Hall 101
The ATE (Academic Teaching Excellence) training course is aimed at developing lecturer skills as they deliver English as the medium of instruction in the context of giving a lecture. The course recognises the fact that lecturers already have strong lecturing skills but aims to equip lecturers with a more interactive dynamic in the delivery of the lecture and at the same time raise their awareness of the different aspects of the delivery. This session will feature a short lecture in which the audience and invited lecturers will be able to assess the delivery of a lecture from the standpoint of the following criteria:
- pronunciation
- body language and gestures
- grammar and vocabulary
- interactivity

A workshop with practical ideas, aimed at all teachers of English as a Foreign Language to children, in gymnazium, primary, private, etc.
