The New Horizons International Film Festival is a platform for bold, artistic cinema, searching for new forms of expression, which reach far beyond the boundaries of a conventional film. It is a festival of film visionaries and uncompromising artists, who have the courage to follow their own path despite the prevailing fashions and who use their unique cinematic language to talk about the crucial things in life.

The films presented at the upcoming New Horizons IFF, will orbit around one central theme: the body. The festival’s program will include a separate section, titled "Body in which I live", presenting, among others, the outstanding Angelo by Marcus Schleinzer and Flesh Out by Michela Occhipinti or the subversive Daughters of Fire by Albertina Carri (whose retrospective will also be one of the events at this year’s festival).

The program of this year's edition of New Horizons IFF will also include some gems from the largest world film festivals, including new films screened this year in Cannes. Among them, the Golden Palm winner - the brilliant Parasite directed by Bong Joon-ho and films by other winners of the most important awards. The festival will also screen In Fabric – the British comedy/horror directed by Peter Strickland, which premiered at the last Toronto film festival.

Join us at the 19th New Horizons International Film Festival between July 25 and August 4, 2019.
