Role overview
We are looking for candidates who would provide technical specialist skills for application solution development in areas of technical analysis, testing, IT operations and second line support delivering to allocated change requests or as part of support primarily in the Microsoft Technology areas covering :
- N-tier application architecture design, development and integration using .NET, C#, Entity Framework, WCF, Web Services, AJAX, ASP.NET MVC, CSS, HTML, JavaScript (including JQuery)
- Service Orientated Architecture
- Relational Database client and server technologies - SQL Server programming and administration
- Experience with web based products that tailor to individual personas
‘Must-have’ skills:
- Experience in development and support of n-tiered Microsoft .NET based applications and experience of working in a global matrix-managed environment,
- Strong communication skills in English both oral and written,
- Proven ability to effectively interact with business users, key stakeholders, development and support teams and technical architecture community in a global environment across multiple countries and cultures,
- Thorough understanding of the following industry methodologies /technologies / concepts; and formal in-depth support and development experience:
- N-tier application architecture design, development and integration (Using Object Oriented Design Frameworks and Patterns).
- .NET
- C#
- Entity Framework
- WCF
- ASP.NET MVC
- HTML
- JavaScript
- JQuery
- AJAX
- CSS
- Relational Database server technologies, particularly Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or later
- T-SQL
‘Highly desirable’ skills:
- The software development lifecycle Agile/Scrum development methodology Production, review, update and maintenance of a variety of documentation including but not limited to; business and system analysis, requirements / technical / functional specifications,
- Relational Database client and server technologies: SQL Server (2000 or later), SQL Reporting Services, SQL scripting, Simple SQL Server DBA Tasks as Create\backup\restore database,
- Create tables, views, stored procedures, functions, defaults, Security (users and roles),
- Understanding of Infrastructure integration - Virtualisation, IIS, Application working in DMZ and LANs, understanding of AD, DNS, IT security- firewalls/ encryption; MS Client platforms and technologies as Windows OS, browsers.
